The Tools I Use And Why I Use Them

Here's a list of programs I use on a daily basis. I'm  just a person who wants to see postivie change with the tools I'm given

* Audacity- a free and open source utility to edit audio files.

 

* Blender- A open Source and free 3D rendering tool.

 

* Cinebench- A tool used to benchmark CPUs.

 

* Dameon Tools- Tool used to make ISO ( Disk Image) files.

 

* Deluge- A open source P2P Bittorrent client.

 

* Debian: Power PC varriant - Have a old mac computer from 2005 and below? This OS can breathe new life into your old mac safe and securely.

 

* Furmark- A tool used to stress test video cards.

 

* Handbrake- A tool used to transcode/rip audio and video from media.

 

* HD-Tune-  A windows utility that can see the health of hard drives, flash drives and SSDs. Can test for errors and see the amount of hours it's been on.

 

* IsoBuster- A tool that can recover data from damaged file systems or physically damaged disks including optical discs, hard disk drives, USB flash drives and solid-state disks.

 

* Malwarebytes-  A free antivirus that actually works.

 

* Open Office - A free alterntive to Microsoft Office.

 

* Parted Magic - A Linux based data recovery enviroment. Can clone drives, format drives to DOD (Department of Defence) standards and recover lost data from media.

 

* Puppy Linux - Linux OS that can run on any 32 bit CPU, Think of any computer made from 1998 and above

 

* Rufis - Tool that allows ISO files to be written to a flash drive to make them bootable like a DVD, such as wanting to install a new copy of Windows.

 

* SpnRite - A high level hard drive repair tool. Can read, recover and restore bad sectors of hard drives.

 

* Winrar -Tool than can open most comressed and archived file types.

 

* VLC -  A free and open source alterntive media player.
